Howard Tenens Logistics takes on charity challenges for Comic Relief & Ukraine Crisis Appeal

Throughout the week, our colleagues across the country took part in a series of fundraising events to support both Comic Relief and The British Red Cross – Ukraine Crisis Appeal. The teams have raised a fantastic £5,655.32 and counting, with a further £25,000 contribution from the company.

With the increasingly dire situation in Ukraine and the support needed by its bordering countries, our colleagues were extremely driven to succeed in raising as much money as they could in one of our most successful fundraising events to date.

From hair shaves, waxes, wet sponges and pies to the face to fancy dress, bake-offs, raffles, and even an ‘I’m a Celebrity-style’ eating challenge – we did it all. Each of our sites went above and beyond in organising a host of activities to raise vital funds for the cause.

Karl Hodgkinson, Managing Director, was understandably delighted with the incredible effort from colleagues across the sites;

‘It was amazing to see last week’s contribution across the business, in supporting two worthy charities. I would like to thank everyone who took part in our fund-raising efforts. Our thanks and praise to those that donned fancy dress on Wednesday and Friday, those facing or throwing wet sponges and/or cream pies and those braving shaves or waxing not to forget all that have donated to our JustGiving pages. Your generosity has so far raised a phenomenal £5,655.32.’
