Two New Leadership Appointments Following HIPO Leadership Programme Success
Welcoming Rupert Denny as Head of Business Solutions and Stuart Stevens as Head of Contract Management
Developing our people and promoting from within is a key part of who we are as a family business. We are therefore delighted to share two senior leadership appointments that reflect both our people-first culture and the ongoing success of our HIPO (High Potential) Leadership Programme.
Rupert Denny – Head of Business Solutions
Rupert Denny has been promoted to the role of Head of Business Solutions, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.
Rupert’s appointment is another great success story from our HIPO Leadership Programme and recognises his contribution, capability and leadership attributes. In this newly created role, Rupert will bring together our Applications, Integration, Projects and Solutions teams under the Business Solutions banner, building on the strong foundations already in place.

As Head of Business Solutions, Rupert will operate as a senior leader with responsibility spanning strategic planning, people leadership and financial accountability. He will play a key role in embedding a strong and consistent culture aligned to our four pillars: People, Health & Safety, Customer, and Profit & Loss.
Commenting on his promotion, Rupert shared:
“I am excited to be starting this new challenge and aligning our technical capabilities with our four pillars: People, Safety, Customer and P&L. By bringing our data, projects and applications teams together under Business Solutions, I want to build on the solid foundations we have today, delivering dependable solutions and strengthening our core applications to support sustainable growth for the business.”
Stuart Stevens – Head of Contract Management
Alongside Rupert’s promotion, we are pleased to confirm that Stuart Stevens has been appointed Head of Contract Management, reporting into the Commercial Director.
Stuart will take responsibility for leading our Contract Management function and team, ensuring our customer relationships continue to deliver mutual value. His remit includes excellence in customer service, cost to serve, profitability, Health & Safety, continuous improvement and delivering mutual value.

Like Rupert, Stuart’s progression into this senior role reflects the strength of our internal talent and the positive impact of our HIPO Leadership Programme in supporting long-term career development at Howard Tenens.
Both appointments demonstrate our continued commitment to investing in our people, developing future leaders and recognising talent from within. Rupert and Stuart’s journeys highlight what is possible when ambition, capability and opportunity come together in a supportive, values-led environment.
Please join us in congratulating Rupert and Stuart on their well-deserved appointments. We look forward to supporting them as they continue to play an important role in the next chapter of the Howard Tenens journey.
