Michael from Ashby Completes Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship!
Michael undertook the Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 apprenticeship, where he immersed himself in learning every asset of warehouse operations. From health and safety protocols to inbound/tipping, order picking, stock control, outbound/loading procedures, transport logistics, and LEAN principles, Michael mastered the end-to-end processes. His commitment to excellence has earned him the well-deserved title of Stock Coordinator.
Michael joined the business in 2022 and joined the inventory team specifically. He spent his initial 12 weeks shadowing Alastair which has proven to have been instrumental in his success. The whole team are especially proud of Michael and had no hesitation in making his position permanent. During his time he has also gained some MHE licences and has worked in various departments to further bolster his experience.
“Michael’s successful completion of his apprenticeship is a testament to the hard work and diligence he has shown from day one. It is easy to forget how young he was when he joined the company, and that for him he was contending with the stresses of his first full-time job, a varied and complex role and additional training and coursework throughout. Congratulations to Michael!” – Alastair Kitching, Deployment & Support Analyst
“Congratulations to Michael on passing his apprenticeship! This is a great achievement and is credit to his hard work and dedication into learning the many aspects of how a warehouse operates. Michael is a key member of the Ashby team and his keenness to learn and develop has not ended with the completion of his apprenticeship… as he plans to get training on more MHE early in the new year! Well done Michael!” – Chris Loomes, Stock Control Manager
