Another Successful Exhibition at Multimodal

The annual Multimodal exhibition once again proved to be a remarkable success for our team. This year we took to the exhibition a new approach by sharing our stand with our MHE partner, Linde. The collaboration between our companies created a fantastic atmosphere that celebrated our journeys of innovation and our partnership approach.

Engaging Highlights and Unique Attractions

Our stand once again featured a coffee vending machine that kept attendees refreshed and energised. Adding a touch of nostalgia, the vintage Morris truck on display was a crowd favourite, sparking conversations and drawing in visitors.

The three-day event offered an excellent opportunity to forge new connections while also reconnecting with our existing customers.

A Night of Recognition and Celebration

The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the awards evening on the first night. We are immensely proud of our very own Amelia Batley, our Group Development, Marketing, and Innovation Manager, who took home the Young Logistics Professional of the Year award.

Karl Hodgkinson, GDMI Director, commented, “I’m absolutely thrilled for Amelia, an exceptional winner who truly deserves industry recognition for her continuous progress and success. It was a proud moment to see a key member of Howard Tenens Logistics and the newly formed GDMI Team receive such an accolade. Amelia joins an esteemed group of previous shortlisted candidates, special commendations, and winners of The Young Logistics Professional awards.”

In addition to Amelia’s win, we were thrilled to be finalists in both the Road Freight Company of the Year and 3PL of the Year categories. We also sponsored the Rail Freight Company of the Year award, we are proud to support excellence across all logistics sectors.

Royal Recognition and Support for Transaid

A moment of great honour took place when our CEO, Jamie Hartles, and GDMI Manager, Amelia Batley, had the privilege of meeting HRH, The Princess Royal. Her Royal Highness’s visit underscores the significance of supporting Transaid and the vital work they do in improving transport and logistics to save lives and reduce poverty in developing countries.

Insights on Sustainability in Warehousing

Our CEO, Jamie Hartles, took centre stage in a panel discussion on Sustainability in Warehousing. Jamie engaged the audience with his insights, addressing numerous questions and sharing updates on our current projects and initiatives. His participation highlighted our company’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to sustainable practices within the industry.

A Sporty Finish

To top off the event, our very own Clive Nash, Divisional Manager, participated in the highly anticipated Multimodal putting competition. While Clive did not secure a trophy, we appreciate his enthusiastic participation.

Overall, this year’s Multimodal exhibition was a tremendous success, marked by collaboration, innovation, and meaningful engagements. On behalf of our entire team, we would like to thank all of you who joined us. We look forward to continuing our journey of excellence and innovation in the logistics industry.
