The New Swindon Company
Stroud, Glos. January 5th 2009 – Howard Tenens is working proactively with the New Swindon Company to promote Swindon as an ideal location for Companies to relocate their business. Swindon provides a better value for money option along the M4 corridor which is cheaper than London and Reading but offers an option closer than Bristol.Swindon offers the best of both worlds – efficient travel links with the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding Cotswolds. Swindon has a successful local economy with a Gross Value Added (GVA) worth £5 billion in 2005. The town is also 50% more productive than the UK average. Swindon also tops the league of the UK’s 50 largest towns and cities for the biggest growth in the number of new businesses.
Swindon has a very buoyant commercial property market, with various affordable premises available throughout the town. Also as Swindon’s population and catchment expands, retail expenditure in the new town is projected to increase by 80% to circa £900m by 2016. The regeneration programme spearheaded by the New Swindon Company comprises an ambitious plan to greatly enhance both the quality and extent of Swindon’s town centre offering. Howard tenens are actively working with two property companies to promote this location – Whitmarsh Lockhart and Alder King.
